Hey, thanks for engaging with me rather than writing me off.

I did run into the Straight-Ticket Vote option, but from my understanding, that's a way to specify Party preference up-and-down the ticket, while still allowing you to supersede the Party defaults with individual choices.

From this, I interpreted Straight-Party voters to be composed of two groups: those who did indeed vote Straight-party, and those who selected the Straight-Party option and then manually voted for a non-Trump presidential candidate.

This is equivalent to voting for all downballot republicans but splitting your vote on the Presidential candidate.

Is that interpretation incorrect?
